Trio Adali

The Berlin-based ensemble Trio Adali was founded in the summer of 2023 and brings together Danish violinist Stefan Burchardt, Polish violist Karina Lewicka, and German-Korean cellist Jakob Seel, who met during their studies at UdK Berlin. The string trio has performed across Europe, showcasing a diverse repertoire that spans from the Baroque and Classical times to contemporary compositions. Most notably, they have performed at the Vendsyssel Festival in Denmark and G. Klein’s String Trio at the 2025 “Gedenkstunde der NS-Opfer” at the Bundestag in Berlin.

Trio Adali has had the privilege of studying under renowned professors such as Eberhard Feltz (mentor of the now-famous Quatuor Ébène), Gregor Sigl (Artemis Quartet), and Johanna Staemmler (Armida Quartet) in Berlin. All three members are currently pursuing their master’s degrees while maintaining active careers as soloists and orchestral musicians.

Stefan Burchardt made his solo debut in 2011 with the Odense Symphony Orchestra. He regularly appears as a soloist and has performed with leading orchestras, including the Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, and he’s appeared in prestigious halls including the Berlin Philharmonic’s Chamber Hall, Beethoven Haus Bonn and the Carl Nielsen Hall. He has received numerous accolades, including first prize at the Flame Concour Paris, the Hans-Schauble Award in Switzerland, Øresund Solist Copenhagen and was additionally a finalist of the 2019 E. Ysaye Competition in Belgium and the L. V. Beethoven Competition in Berlin.

Karina Lewicka is a prizewinner of numerous national and international viola competitions and has received prestigious scholarships, including support from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben. As an orchestral musician, she was an Academist at the Komische Oper Berlin and a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra.

Jakob Seel has won multiple first prizes at Jugend Musiziert and is particularly active as a chamber musician and is a prizewinner of the Chamber Music competition Alice-Samter in Berlin. He was a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and a Academist at the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz.
